Midsize Law—maybe with a capital “L”?—is a community.

It might not be so tidily defined. There are many firms in the U.S. that fit our definition of midsize—more than 40 but fewer than 200 lawyers firmwide. Many are regional, and some are effectively limited to practicing in one state. They are not necessarily known brands across the U.S., as so many of the Am Law 200 are.
