Davis Polk & Wardwell has poached Jones Day global M&A leader James Dougherty, continuing a string of prominent lateral hires at the Wall Street firm.
Dougherty will join Davis Polk as a partner in the firm’s M&A practice in the coming weeks, according to an email from Davis Polk chair Neil Barr obtained by The American Lawyer. The email noted he has deep experience with corporate carve-outs, going-private deals and spin-off transactions.
