On Monday, the 10th anniversary of the founding of global law firm Dentons, longtime global chair and co-founder Joe Andrew revealed his intention to bow out of his leadership role at the firm he created. At the end of his term next year, Andrew will step down and the global chairperson role will be “retired.”

The move puts the firm’s global reins firmly in the hands of Elliott Portnoy, Andrew’s longtime partner and co-founder, who already serves as global CEO and has led the day-to-day business of Dentons since its launch.
