Coming off the heels of an eight-lawyer addition from a Chicago transactional boutique in July, Taft Stettinius & Hollister is combining with Detroit-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss to expand its already sizable position in the Midwest legal marketplace.

According to leaders at Taft Stettinius, which vaulted into the Am Law 100 for the first time in this year, 120-lawyer Jaffe Raitt is the seventh-largest firm in the Detroit metro area, boasting a deep history in the region and a focus on middle-market mergers and acquisitions.
