Financial services boutique McGonigle is merging with Seattle-founded Am Law 100 firm Davis Wright Tremaine, the firms announced Friday, boosting Davis Wright’s head count to more than 600 while doubling its banking and finance practice and giving it a fresh presence in Chicago.
The merger, which will be official July 1, comes as Big Law firms are building out their regulatory capabilities in the finance and banking sector and targeting large groups in the lateral market.
