An alliance of 23 major law firms, including several Am Law 100 firms, has launched an initiative aimed at providing free legal services to those who will be affected if Roe v. Wade is struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

“The Supreme Court appears to be poised to take away a fundamental right that has been on the books for nearly 50 years,” said Teresa Johnson, co-chair of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer’s capital markets practice and one of the founders of the group. “That calls for a public-private collaboration to pool our strength and resources.”
