After $5.9 trillion in deals were announced in 2021, 2022 is starting off a bit sluggish in comparison.
Last week saw three deals north of $1 billion, although one of those was over $5 billion, making it a mega-deal. IPOs were the strongest showing of the week with five new listings registering with the SEC. Just four new SPACs were announced and no SPAC mergers were listed.
