Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has tapped a former McKinsey & Co. director with longtime legal industry experience to serve as its new chief marketing officer, joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as the second firm to bring on a fresh business development leader this week.

Katherine Peters most recently served as director of practice operations for strategy and corporate finance at McKinsey. Before that, she served as Sullivan & Cromwell’s chief marketing officer from 2010 to 2016 and as business development associate director at Kirkland & Ellis from 2003 to 2010.
