Speakers:

Elizabeth McBride is Vice President, Global Compliance & Litigation at Applied Materials. She leads the global ethics and compliance program, including privacy and data governance, while also managing the litigation, investigations, and digital forensics teams. She plays a key role in developing corporate strategy on risk management and compliance, as well as leads company-wide strategic initiatives related to IP and data protection, trade secret governance, employee mobility, and contingent workforce governance. Ms. McBride graduated from Princeton University and earned her J.D. at Stanford University.

Felix Sterling is Chief Legal Officer & EVP Global Policy and Compliance for Trend Micro. Mr. Sterling supports the board of directors and works with other members of the executive team on various governance, compliance, and strategic matters and leads the team, providing legal oversight and services for the Trend Micro Group’s regional subsidiaries and operations. He also leads Trend Micro’s global policy and compliance initiatives. Mr. Sterling received his J.D. from the University of California at Davis (Editor-in-Chief of the King Hall Advocate) and his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

 

Kwame J. Manley is the Global Chair of the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, and complex civil litigation. A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Manley defends individuals and companies before various agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal and state entities. He has performed complex, internal investigations in over 20 countries worldwide. Mr. Manley has been recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 for his work on FCPA matters. He earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School (Notes Editor, Harvard Law Review), his M.P.A. degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and his B.A. from Morehouse College (summa cum laude).

Elizabeth Brann is a partner in the Litigation practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s San Diego office. Ms. Brann guides many of the world’s largest technology companies in navigating their most complex litigation and has appeared and won in trial courts across the United States, the International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She has been named a “Litigator of the Week” by The American Lawyer and a “Legal Lion” by Law360. Ms. Brann received her J.D. from Harvard Law School (Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology) and her B.S. from Marquette University (summa cum laude).
