The largest law firms in the United States and around the world are introducing new initiatives to improve service delivery, but they’re struggling to get attorneys to adopt their new tools and strategies.

The NewLaw practice group at advisory firm Baretz+Brunelle surveyed the industry, receiving responses from 44 Am Law 200 and Global 100 law firms, and learned that a majority of these firms have taken steps forward in each of the 10 innovation categories identified at the start of the research. But when asked how mature these initiatives are within their firms, most received a score of three or below on a five-point scale.
