Among the many aspects of law firm life (and life in general) that have been changed by the pandemic, the recruitment of young lawyers has gained special attention around the legal industry.

Law firm recruiting more broadly has changed, of course. After it became clear that the world wouldn’t be snapping back to normal after a few short months, managing partners got comfortable with the idea of bringing on people they have never met in person. (“Totally comfortable hiring on Zoom,” as one firm leader put it to us.) Lateral movers, meanwhile, found ways to integrate themselves into a firm’s fabric when their only connecting thread was a virtual one.
