In one of the most unusual years, Barnes & Thornburg posted gains in profit and revenue by doing what it usually does.

The Indianapolis-based firm opened an office, hired laterals and served its clients, said firm managing partner Bob Grand. For 2020, Barnes saw an 8.5% boost in gross revenue, to $506.2 million, and a 6.6% increase in profits per partner, to $1.067 million. Its revenue per lawyer rose nearly 2% to $818,000.
