Craig Carpenito, the former U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey, has joined King & Spalding as a partner in the firm’s special matters and government investigations group in New York.

At King & Spalding, Carpenito said in an interview Tuesday, he will focus on health care, financial services and cyber matters, including cryptocurrencies. King & Spalding has “an excellent footprint for building a white-collar practice in health care, financial services and crypto-cyber,” he said, noting that New Jersey is referred to as the “pharma corridor” because 13 of the country’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies are based there.
