Law firms are snapping up regulatory attorneys and former federal prosecutors in advance of the transition from President Donald Trump’s administration to President-elect Joseph Biden’s, whose swearing-in is less than a week away.

Law firm leaders and consultants are anticipating a much more stringent regulatory environment under a Biden administration, which has promised to ratchet up scrutiny in areas such as human rights, misconduct by law enforcement and the environment.
