King & Spalding unanimously elected Robert Hays to a sixth term as chairman, extending the tenure of the firm’s long-serving leader. His new three-year term began Jan. 1.

By reelecting Hays as its leader, a position he’s held since 2006, King & Spalding signaled that it is opting for continuity and stability during the uncertain economic and political environment, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition from the Trump administration to the Biden presidency. The firm is also reelecting a leader who has focused on increasing its lawyer head count outside its Atlanta headquarters.
