Strike while the iron is hot, the saying goes. With restructuring practices riding high amid a massive global economic downturn, White & Case went big as it poached former Ropes & Gray New York office co-managing partner and veteran restructuring attorney Keith Wofford and his longtime law partner Stephen Moeller-Sally, a 19-year veteran of Ropes & Gray, the firm announced on Monday.
“As we continue to grow both our debtor and creditor-side capabilities with outstanding talent, we are delighted to add Keith and Steve,” Thomas Lauria, global head of White & Case’s global financial restructuring and insolvency (FRI) practice, said in a statement. “They are both brilliant, senior restructuring lawyers who have led many high-profile matters.”
