Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz has launched an ambitious push to become an industry leader in attorney diversity within five years, crafting a detailed plan to track the progress of its targeted increases and tie it to leaders’ compensation. 

As part of that, the 650-lawyer firm is incorporating a scorecard assessing managers’ diversity efforts into its compensation reviews next spring, said Mark Carlson, a member of the advisory board that formulated Baker Donelson’s new Diversity & Inclusion Compact as a road map.
