Cravath, Swaine & Moore has promoted 11 of its attorneys to its all-equity partnership as part of an uncharacteristically large and racially diverse class of partners.

The class includes two Black attorneys—Helam Gebremariam and Heather Benjamin—the second and third Black attorneys to ever join Cravath’s partnership. Rowan Wilson was the firm’s first Black partner; he left in 2017 to become a judge on New York’s Court of Appeals.
