A Portland, Oregon-based manufacturing company has sued Jones Day in Houston, alleging the firm conspired with a client to defraud it in connection with its purchase of a group of German companies in 2017. The suit alleges $750 million in damages.

Precision Castparts Corp. and an indirect subsidiary in Germany, PCC Germany Holdings, allege Jones Day participated in a “massive fraud” when representing Schultz Holding and its subsidiaries in the purchase. Precision alleges it was unaware before the deal closed that the companies were in “dire financial straits.”
