Kirkland & Ellis on Monday announced it had brought on a new partner, Parimah Hassouri, six months after Hassouri joined McDermott Will & Emery New York office as part of a prominent group of insurance dealmakers from Drinker Biddle & Reath.

Hassouri was one of eight partners who jumped from Drinker (now Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath) to McDermott in September. At the time of that departure, Drinker had touted Hassouri’s group as having helped close $2.5 billion in merger and acquisition deals for the firm’s insurance clients within the past year.
