Sidley Austin said Tuesday that it is canceling its all-partners meeting next month—another example of how COVID-19 is roiling the legal industry.
The firm’s 600-plus partners were informed Tuesday morning that they will not be meeting in person in Florida in April, said Michael Schmidtberger, the chair of Sidley’s executive committee. Sidley has 1,943 lawyers spread across in 20 offices in nine countries.
