Top U.K. law firms used to have little to do with the legal industry’s regulator. The threat of being struck off or punished was exclusively reserved for dubious consumer operations and fraudulent sole practitioners.

How times have changed. This year, largely thanks to the #MeToo movement, a series of top London lawyers have been investigated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and subsequently called to appear before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
