Stroock & Stroock & Lavan announced a new leader for its patent litigation group Monday, tapping longtime Kirkland & Ellis partner Timothy Gilman for the role. Gilman will be based out of Stroock’s New York office.

“I was at Kirkland for 16 years and had a really good experience there,” Gilman said. “But where Stroock is on the growth curve, they have a nimbler, more compact group and that provides opportunities.”
