Houston’s Vinson & Elkins is relocating seven partners to New York as part of the firm’s plan to grow its national and international presence. The move is a key part of the firm’s long-term plan to make New York the firm’s “flagship office.” The partners moving to New York are: Marcia Backus, Caroline Blitzer, David Cohen, John B. Connally, Tim Fenn, Craig Kornreich and Price Manford. “The decision of these seven partners to move their law practices demonstrates V&E’s commitment to growing our New York presence as an integral part of being an international law firm,” Clifford Thau, co-managing partner of the New York office, said in a news release. Vinson & Elkins has more than 700 lawyers in 13 offices worldwide.
