Pytynia formerly worked for the firm as an associate from 1974 to 1977. At Eli Lilly, Pytynia was general counsel for IVAC Corp., a medical device subsidiary of Eli Lilly; for Lilly International Corp.; and for Lilly's U.S. pharmaceutical affiliate.

Attorney Tom Pytynia has rejoined Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis as counsel, leaving his post as a top in-house attorney at Eli Lilly and Co., where he had been for 30 years.
Pytynia, 60, will be a part of the Indianapolis-based firm’s health and life sciences practice group, the firm said in a press release. He formerly worked for the firm as an associate from 1974 to 1977.
