How many times during your childhood did you receive the resonating parental warnings of “look both ways before you cross,” or “get that out of your mouth before you choke”? Our parents would have served as extremely effective operational safety managers in today’s workplaces. Unfortunately, employers and employees alike are continually reminded that danger is truly around each and every corner. Indeed, workplace injuries remain a constant source of lost productivity for employers and increased employee absence, as well as an economic drain on companies throughout New Jersey.

While some live by the mantra that the chief danger in life is to take too many precautions … this is not a sensible philosophy for any employer.
