Loeb & Loeb's Los Angeles office has appointed its first scholar in residence, a rare arrangement that will allow University of California, Los Angeles, law professor Douglas Lichtman to share his research and strategic ideas with the firm and its clients. Lichtman focuses on patent law, copyright law and the intersection of law and technology. He'll likely attend strategy sessions or client lunches to discuss ideas, and Lichtman also expects the union to help him in his classroom and research.
