The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has filed a federal trademark lawsuit against Smithfield Foods, alleging the meat company’s “Deli for the Cure” logo will confuse consumers.

The Komen foundation, which has licensed its “for the Cure” trademark to other companies, asked the court to stop Smithfield’s Lean Generation brand from using the logo. The foundation raised concerns over studies that red and processed meat can lead to cancer.
