GC Discovers the Upside of Jumping Ship

Is being out of a job necessarily a bad thing? Absolutely not, says Kate Rundle, who quit her gig as general counsel for MIPS Technologies Inc. in May. Although she's now got a new job -- as general counsel at Bookham Inc. -- Rundle took the whole summer off to spend time with her three kids before they scattered around the country. "I can't say enough about being unemployed -- it was wonderful," she said.
