Florida Power and Light and AT&T have agreed to pay $19.2 million to settle a lawsuit brought by a Miami construction worker who was left totally paralyzed after coming into contact with a live power line, according to his attorney.

“You just cannot compare the complete destruction of his life to the monetary sum,” said Miami solo practitioner David B. Mishael, who represents former Miami construction worker Marvin Trujillo and his family. “None of this can bring him back to the satisfaction of his family.”
