A Fordham University classics professor will have to defend himself against charges of hostile work environment and retaliation after a federal appellate court reinstated claims filed by a secretary who claims the professor kept pornographic Web sites on her computer and required her to handle pornographic videotapes.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, overturning a lower court, revived the case brought by Eleanore Patane against Professor John Richard Clark, several other defendants and the university, finding that Patane had met the pleading threshold for both causes of action in Patane v. Clark, 06-3446-cv.
