A shortage of U.S. visas for skilled foreign workers has prompted Atlanta-based Fisher & Phillips to think globally. The firm has launched a worldwide immigration practice to assist companies that are expanding their foreign operations in response to U.S. visa restrictions.

To broaden out from 190-attorney Fisher & Phillips’ traditional business immigration work, which helps companies bring foreign workers into the United States, the firm has recruited Ian R. Macdonald, proprietor of the Macdonald Immigration Law Group, for his expertise in moving U.S. workers to operations in other countries and non-U.S. workers between foreign countries.
