That’s what a special master for the Florida Legislature found. He wrote that Coral Springs Medical Center provided less-than-satisfactory care of Adam when he and his twin brother were born in July 2000. The result for Adam: brain damage, blindness and the inability to walk or sit up on his own.

Yet, it took three years of fighting for Adam’s parents, Gary and Judith Susser, to collect the $670,000 that Florida’s North Broward Hospital District, now known as Broward Health, owed them as part of a $9.8 million settlement in a Broward Circuit Court negligence suit.
