A Philadelphia Common Pleas Court judge has dismissed claims of deepening insolvency and fraudulent transfer brought against officers, outside directors and financial business partners of a company that made residential mortgage loans to borrowers with poor credit before filing for bankruptcy in 2005.

Judge Mark I. Bernstein let several other claims continue against officials connected to American Business Financial Services (ABFS), a Delaware corporation headquartered in Pennsylvania. ABFS filed for bankruptcy in early 2005.
