A New York physician's assistant who alleges that she was fired after she refused to be a "team player" and lie about a doctor's misconduct can proceed with her state whistleblower action, a New York judge has ruled. The judge found that if Antoinette Lloyd's allegations were true, her actions were protected under state whistleblower law because she had a good-faith basis for believing that health law violations had occurred that compromised the quality of patient care.
