While Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue prepares to pick new judges for Gwinnett County and three other areas, the state’s judges want him to have more choices to make.

Last month, the Judicial Council of Georgia recommended that new bench seats be created for 11 judicial circuits — with a new judge in Fulton County Superior Court as one of the top priorities.
