Former DeKalb County District Attorney J. Tom Morgan is leaving the Atlanta offices of Balch & Bingham, where he has been of counsel for three years, to launch his own solo practice in Decatur, Ga.

Morgan’s departure coincides with the publication this month of his new book for Georgia teens, “Ignorance Is No Defense: A Teenager’s Guide to Georgia Law,” which he said will take him on an unofficial speaking tour of Georgia schools.
