Enterprise Leasing is suing the federal government over a serious auto accident involving the press secretary of U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla. According to the federal suit, Alex Cruz was supposed to be on his way to a constituent meeting, but was driving drunk when he crashed his Enterprise rental car head-on into a vehicle driven by Noah Deron. Enterprise settled Deron's lawsuit for $105,000. Now the company wants reimbursement from the federal government, which paid for Cruz's car rental.

Enterprise Leasing Co. is suing the federal government over a serious auto accident involving the press secretary of U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla. Alex Cruz was allegedly driving his rented Enterprise car while drunk.
According to the suit filed Aug. 14 in U.S. District Court in Miami, Cruz was supposed to be on his way to a constituent meeting for Ros-Lehtinen on Big Pine Key, Fla., on Oct. 10, 2003 when he crashed his rental car head-on into a vehicle driven by Noah Deron.
