Gary K. Saidman had been in private practice for 26 years when he moved in-house with The Weather Channel three years ago.

“It was an easy decision and an easy transition,” Saidman said. He took a month off after leaving the firm. On his first day in his new office at the cable company’s suburban headquarters off Interstate 75 at Interstate 285 and Windy Hill Road, he picked up on the same work he had been doing as outside counsel. “From the first day, people would stop by my desk and talk about the latest developments on transactions we had been working on.”
