With electronic data discovery rapidly taking the place of document production, New Jersey's law schools are offering courses to immerse soon-to-be litigators in the new practice. Deans and professors say lawyers have to know the mechanics of data storage and retrieval so they can advise clients on the handling of electronic information, such as proper cataloging of data and back-ups.
