A former Sioux Falls, S.D., credit union official cannot continue a lawsuit over the loss of his job after making allegations that his boss was taking out loans in other people’s names to finance a gambling problem, the South Dakota Supreme Court ruled Thursday.

Chad Anderson, who was executive vice president of First Century Federal Credit Union, resigned July 1, 2002. He had earlier informed other credit union officials of unusual activity involving the personal accounts of Jill Handel, who was the president and CEO, and her boyfriend, Jarrod Haacke.
