Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll named litigation partner William A. Slaughter to the newly created position of general counsel to the firm. Slaughter said the firm is realizing that it is a big business, with nearly $250 million in gross revenue and 10 offices across the country. A business of that size is bound to have a variety of its own legal issues, and the firm's board felt the time was ripe to name a general counsel, Slaughter said.
