South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. said Monday it will file a counter-lawsuit against Hitachi Ltd., its U.S. unit and a flat-panel joint venture, claiming the Japanese company infringed on patents related to LG’s plasma displays.
The patent infringement and damage compensation lawsuit will be filed in a U.S. district court in the U.S. state of Texas later Monday, LG Electronics said in a statement.
