Minneapolis-based litigation shop Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi has announced it is closing its Washington, D.C., office on Aug. 15. The office, which opened in 1986 with a group of three lawyers, has a headcount of about 30 attorneys.
“Probably 90 percent of our lawyers practice in litigation and that does not require a Washington presence,” says Steven Schumeister, the firmwide managing partner. “And so we are in discussions with our lawyers in the Washington office as to their interest in remaining with the firm.”
