Catherine Christian, the first black president of the New York County Lawyers’ Association, was installed at the organization’s annual meeting May 24 as it launched a yearlong centennial celebration.
At 43, Christian is also the youngest president ever and, as counsel for special projects in the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office, the first NYCLA president actively practicing in the public sector.
