Greenberg Traurig has made progress in rebuilding its lobbying practice in the wake of the congressional corruption scandal centered on its former Washington, D.C., superlobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Matthew B. Gorson, Greenberg’s national operating shareholder in Miami, said that while the firm’s Washington lobbying practice has made some recent gains, the firm has turned to state and local lobbying around the country to bolster lobbying revenue. State government lobbying in California has particularly boosted receipts.
