Nearly two months have passed since the U.S. Attorney for Georgia’s Southern District was appointed to the federal bench, but the White House has not yet nominated her replacement.

Last summer, the White House received the name of a recommended nominee from Georgia’s two senators, according to Ronald L. Carlson, one of Sen. Johnny Isakson’s three appointments to the six-person nominating committee.
