The U.S. government’s new class action suit against Walgreen Co. alleging discrimination against black workers should bolster an appeal by four black men in a case they lost in Nevada, one of the plaintiffs and their lawyer said Thursday.

“We have believed all along that Walgreens has a problem with racial discrimination,” said Ian Silverberg, the Reno attorney representing the four Texas men who claimed they were discriminated against at a downtown Reno store in 2003.
