A Chinese man whose attorney has been disbarred will get a second chance at asylum in the United States.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said an opinion of New York’s Appellate Division, 1st Department, detailing the professional misconduct of lawyer Joseph Muto appeared to support immigrant Yi Long Yang’s claim that he was the victim of ineffective assistance of counsel.
