A Pennsylvania family has sued ConAgra Foods for wrongful death and negligence, claiming a family member died from eating salmonella-tainted peanut butter. The woman, who was not tested for salmonella, developed a bacterial infection before she died on Jan. 30, according to a lawyer, who said the woman's husband and daughter also allegedly became ill after consuming the product. A ConAgra spokeswoman said the firm cannot comment on pending litigation.
